Activities
The project foresees a musical training offered via a pedagogical-musical system inspired by the “Abreu system” which brings together theoretical and practical training with an instrument and uses cooperative and participatory methodologies. This training focuses on generating skills working in three musical areas: technical-cognitive, imitative and creative-improvisational. Alongside the already established Orchestra, in 2022 AEMAS activated a Junior Orchestra through a path of introduction to music for the little ones with collective moments and individual study with artistic workshops preparatory to the knowledge of the subject and musical instruments, through a cooperative learning methodology.
Together with the music, the project offers socio-educational activities aimed at a group of beneficiaries identified as being at greater risk of exclusion or scholastic dispersion. Individual and group activities are proposed four afternoons a week alternating with support for study, educational game workshops and field visits.
In 2023, the project also provides for the activation of 4 study/work grants for young students who have been part of the orchestra for several years through the signing of an “Educational Pact”. The scholarship is granted in the form of monetary disbursement or support for the purchase of training equipment or services (musical instruments, specialization courses, conservatory fees) and provides for an ad hoc training program for young students, who work together with a music trainer to learn and strengthen the bonds of intergenerational solidarity by replicating virtuous paths.
Furthermore, to reduce the environmental impact and the waste of paper, AEMAS intends to provide the Orchestra with technological equipment (tablet, notebook) on which to install software for the study such as digital interface programs, music theory programs, tuning programs, and applications and programs to be used during rehearsals and concerts.
