Use of personal data

Personal data may be requested and supplied for the following reasons:

  2. to enable users to send messages by filling out the form located at the beginning of the presentation of a project or to addresses listed in the site;
  3. replies to user requests for information or contacts.

Types of data treated

Information for navigation

The software and IT systems used for this website acquire personal data in the course of normal operations, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of the communication protocols of the Internet. This information is not acquired in association with any particular user but as it is elaborated and associated with data in the possession of third parties it enables the identification of users. Data that falls into this category consists of IP addresses or computer domains used by users who connect to the site; URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses indicating requests, the time of said requests, the method used to submit the requests, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the reply data of the server (done, error, etc.) and other parameters relative to the operating system and the IT environment of the user. This data is used only to obtain anonymous statistical information concerning the users of the site and also to check its correct functioning, and is deleted after approximately twelve months. This data could be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of cyber-crimes that could hypothetically damage the site.

Cookies are small files that are memorized in the terminal used by the user to navigate the web. They can be lasting or temporary (session cookies), serve to enable the activation of some elements of the site (technical cookies, for example, keep track of the preferred language and visual modalities for the page, enable the user to log-in where registration is possible, etc) or analyse the traffic and information supplied to the manager of the site on the basis of visits (analytical cookies can be managed directly by the owner of the site or by third parties, eventually adopting technical solutions to avoid user data being traced further) or catalogue the tastes and interests of the user in order to design advertising in line with the profile thus obtained (profiling cookies, managed by the owner of the site or by third parties). No consent on the part of the user is necessary for technical and analytical cookies of the first part while for analytical cookies of the third part (without the adoption of particular guarantors of privacy on the part of the user) or profiling, use is conditional upon the previous consent of the user manifested clearly in the positive.

Our internet site exclusively uses technical or analytical cookies of the first part and does not use analytical cookies of the third part or profiling cookies.

Data provided voluntarily by the User

Should a user explicitly send a message via the form located in the beginning of a presentation of a project or via electronic mail to the addresses indicated in our site, the user address and other information (for example, telephone numbers), necessary in order to provide a response, will obviously be obtained, as well as any other personal data mentioned in the message.

Elective provision and duration of data

Aside from what has already been mentioned as regards the data obtained during site navigation, users are free to supply personal data, the absence of which will hinder, either totally or partially, our ability to respond to user requests or render full use of some or all of the functions of our site impossible. Data will be kept for the time necessary to respond as requested.

As far as the cookies are concerned, users can always delete or inhibit their installation via their browser, which may hinder some aspects of the site. A guide for the elimination/inhabitation of cookies for the more common browsers can be consulted at: https://www.attacat.co.uk/resources/cookies/how-to-ban.

Place and access to data

The treatment of data connected to the web services of the site is confined to the headquarters of the owner as regards information sent spontaneously by users via the form at the beginning of each project or via electronic mail and are accessible only to authorized personnel (for example, Foundation staff and collaborators).

Place of communication, transfer and diffusion of data

Apart from those cases in which communication is regulated by law, the personal data supplied by users can be communicated to third parties only for specific ends (for example, web master, web designer, the company offering the hosting of our website). No personal data will be subject to diffusion. Should personal data be transferred to countries outside the EU, this will only be done where the country has adopted the guarantees regarding the application of privacy safeguards foreseen in EU Regulation 2016/679.

Rights of the interested parties

Users are reminded of their rights as regards the treatment of their data as per the information in this fact sheet or in the website (articles 15-22 of EU Regulation 2016/679: right to access, rectify, integrate, cancel, limit, move, oppose, not be subject to decisions based on automatic processes) as well as the right to complain to the Guarantor in case treatment has been in violation of the norms stipulated to safeguard personal data.
