ORK-EST

The OrK-Est project continues the language-musical activities begun in 2022 with the support of AMI. The project benefits from research, experimentation and experience in art education that the Maestri di Strada activities in the territory have garnered over the last 12 years, and is aimed at offering the youths of the area an authentic School of Music at the “Ciro Colonna” Multipurpose Center in order to assemble a youth orchestra in the quarter in the string, wind, percussion, voice and pop music sections.

Specifically, for 2025 the project foresees the realization of an ensemble music  class and one in preparatory music; three instrumental workshops (drums, guitar and piano); and a rap, writing and musical production workshop. This year, a class in video-making has been added in order to disseminate the activities and create audio-visual products, such as music video clips.

The classes are conducted by high level music professionals along with the Maestri di Strada specialized instructors with a decade-long experience in the territory that combine technique-experience learning with a dimension of pedagogical attention for transversal skills (life skills, soft skills) that are fundamental in the creation of an effective study group.

The artistic workshops conducted by the Maestri di Strada stimulate the participants to confront themes and fundamental issues, starting with their life experience, enabling them to re-discover and activate resources, desires and dreams. In this way, the participants are reactivated as producers of culture, knowledge, individual and shared identity, thus generating Community.
