The project foresees the realization of creative activities at the Nasca il Teatro, a ground floor space in the public, residential condominiums in the Stadio quarter (ex-Zona 167B) in Lecce.
For 2024, Nasca has chosen the name UNICA FUORIBORDO in order to call attention to everything that falls outside the system (invisible people who feel forgotten, those lacking assistance from institutions, those who desire to experience the world of art but have no means to do so). The project carries out two, weekly workshops, one for children (6-11) and one for adolescents (12-16).
The children’s workshop starts with games, a fun process to get to know and understand one’s human machine through physical exercise, conceptualization of space and emotional expression, using voice and words to recount poetic and adventurous voyages.
The main objective of the workshop for adolescents is to discover the world of theater and reawaken the desire to believe in oneself and one’s abilities. The young participants practice observation, knowledge and use of scenic space; they learn to listen to and respect their own bodies and those of others, as well as give voice to their feelings, discovering what it means to collaborate in order to reach a common goal – in this case, the creation and staging of a play written together. The workshop is a fun and constructive adventure that promotes creativity, theater, writing and dance as important vehicles for personal and collective expression.
Finally, to complete the experience of the participants in the workshops, the project foresees monthly meetings with external experts to get to know and become involved in other art forms (music, literature, cinema, meditation, contemporary art and circus arts), as well as going to see shows as an accompaniment to their training.
