Support to the second edition of the 2013-2014 project “The Art of Making a Difference – Relational art: thoughts, directions, works and connections of contemporary art and social spheres”.
THE PROJECT IN DETAIL
Objectives
To stimulate a participatory artistic process in the sector of contemporary art of a social nature.
Beneficiairies
3 young, emerging artists and 3 “outsider” artists (disadvantaged people and those with relational or psychological-physical problems), as well as the public of Turin.
Activities
“The Art of Making a Difference” has three couples composed of a young artist and an “outsider” artist sharing a relational path aimed at realizing a collaborative and co-authored artistic work with a mutual exchange of competencies and knowledge. The project includes a workshop for the design and participatory realization of the works, with inter-disciplinary training as well as access to, and reinterpretation of, the cultural patrimony of the Anthropological and Ethnographical Museum of the University of Turin. The project ends with a final exhibit of the co-authored works and an international meeting on the practice of participatory and relational art. This project, developed by the Arteco Association, is in collaboration with the Anthropological and Ethnographical Museum of the University of Turin and the City of Turin, Department of Social Services and Relations with Health Center Services for the Disabled – Plural Art, InGenio, Search Engine/Active Community.
