Ten years of Pinocchio

On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the production of “Pinocchio – il paese dei balocchi”, realized by Gli amici di Luca with Babilonia Theatres, is being staged again in collaboration with the University of Bologna and the Social Theatre department of Prof. Cristina Valenti in the context of the Alma Mater Festival, a welcoming event at the University of Bologna dedicated to the students.The production, winner in 2013 of the prestigious national theatre critics award and staged many times both in Italy and abroad, is the result of theatrical workshops carried out at the Luca De Nigris Casa dei Risvegli supported by AMI (see project).

The production will be staged at the DAMSLAB of the University of Bologna on October 7, 2022 at 9:00 p.m., preceded by an afternoon of seminars and  research with experts. Entitled “10 Years of Pinocchio and curated by Cristina Valenti, participating also are directors Enrico Castellani and Valeria Raimondi with Fabio Acca, Stefano Casi, Fulvio De Nigris and Lorenzo Donati.

The event will take place in the context of the twenty-fourth edition of the National Day of Awakening, under the High Patronage of the President of the Republic, as well as the European Day of Awakening with the High Patronage of the European Parliament, promoted by the Gli Amici di Luca Association. The initiative aims to sensitize public opinion with regards to people in post-coma states and is tied to the Luca De Nigris Casa dei Risvegli, a public rehabilitation and research centre of the Bologna USL Agency
