Pergine Spettacolo Aperto was founded in 1976 as the first cultural activity to provide a summer festival in the Trentino. Convinced that culture must be a good accessible to all with no exclusions, starting from 2012 the organization undertook a special segment of the festival called NO LIMITS, dedicated to the theme of cultural accessibility. This is a true project of cultural and social inclusion that connects the right to cultural participation for people with disabilities to the need to train cultural organizations, the public and institutions as regards overcoming the barriers (both environmental and social) that hinder cultural inclusion and differences.
This year, with the support of AMI, ‘Ho un pezzettino in gola’ (I have a little piece in my throat) , a play for children by Valentina Dal Mas (national premiere) is staged: the story of a little girl named Rosalinda; Rosalinda is a little girl with a complex inner world: in her throat there is a little piece that blocks the light and sparkling words that would like to come out, while other more impetuous ones escape uncontrolled. This is followed by the presentation of “Siamo tutti in pericolo”, a play by Claudia Caldarano and Sandro Pivotti (national premiere). The performance tells the story of two friends, Claudia and Sandro, who challenge each other with irony, fears and uncomfortable truths, trying to find a meaning to the chaos of the present world; and finally, a poetic audio-description, an artistic creation parallel to the performance on stage, audible through headphones, by Versiliadanza.
In 2024, the project saw the presentation of two shows: Lo specchio della regina (The Queen’s Mirror), a dance-theatre show by Teatro La Ribalta, and DIRE, FARE, BACIARE, LETTERA, TESTAMENTO (Say, Do, Do, Kiss, Test, Test), a participatory children’s theatre show by Teatro Koreja; the realisation of a musical perception workshop; and finally the presentation of a poetic audiodescription, an artistic creation parallel to the show on stage, audible through headphones, by Camilla Guarino, dancer and playwright, and Giuseppe Comuniello, blind dancer and choreographer.
