An open festival accessible to all citizens; an occasion to create a collective civic moment experienced in a totally immersive way.
THE PROJECT IN DETAIL
Objectives
To sensitize citizens to the theme of mental health and social inclusion/integration via an immersive experience aimed at generating cathartic emotions and providing an opportunity for evolution and contact with beauty and its ethical meaning.
Beneficiairies
Approximately 20 psychologically vulnerable youths living in the periphery of Rome (the Torri quarter), patients at the Centro di Salute Mentale (Mental Health Center, CSM) of the Roma2 ASL or other sections of the CSM, as well as youths between the ages of 18 and 29 living in the quarter; the public.
Activities
Argofest 2.4: Mon Amour is a festival organized by the Collegamenti cooperative within the ATER “Il Crocicchio” condominium and the Torre Maura Canapiglie Park in Rome June 6,7 and 8, 2024.
The festival provides afternoon workshops dedicated to children: Street Art with the artist Taf; Theater, with the director and actor Valerio Malorni; music and singing with the singer Giusy Zaccagnini.
The program on Thursday was dedicated to school, to the media desert, reports and inquests (including photographic) regarding the peripheries of the world.
Friday was dedicated to Theater and Performance, with a presentation of a 2 MQ Paradiso Performance Installation created during the intensive VI Senso Art and Street Art workshop by the artist Soledad Agresti and the participating youth.
Subsequently there was a theatrical performance by Valerio Malorni and a film, “Come un gatto in tangenziale”, inserted in the Cineforum activities that Argolab inaugurated last year.
Saturday was the final day of the festival, with a theatrical performance by the director and actor Giunluca Riggi; a photographic exhibit by Mattia Sagani; and a concert by the Argoritmo, a band born as a result of the workshops supported by AMI held at the Argolab.
