Objectives
Undertaking educational activities for social-cultural and relationship regeneration for minors via ArtEducation for increased knowledge of themselves and others.
Increasing opportunities for culture at all levels, with particular attention given to the protected insertion and integration of the more disadvantaged families.
Growing opportunities for self-education in view of permanent education.
Reinforcing peer support to enable it to provide the function of an enlarged family or a micro-collective.
Increasing transversal sociocultural and emotional competencies of children.
Beneficiairies
Approximately 130 minors between the ages of 3 and 14, both Italian and foreign, residing in the Rome V Municipality.
Activities
The project provides support to the realization of artistic and educational activities (workshops in dance movement, theater, circus arts and juggling, scenography/recycling) at the Eufemia Intercultural Center, a protected space within the V Municipality to experiment with individual and cooperative capacities, to sustain collective knowledge and the “care of ties” for minors to deal with the theme of marginalization.
Eufemia is a place for meeting, education and training, a space for reciprocity, a reference point for all families. The meaning of Eufemia is to integrate differences building interculture that can develop from shared projects in the space between cultures.
The Eufemia Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 12:30, and from 15:30 to 19:30, with daily participation of about 20 people in the morning and 30-40 in the afternoon.
The Center offers diverse structured activities involving children and parents.
Among these are sessions in didactic games, tutoring and workshops in art aimed at developing the ability of minors to learn and grow.
