THE PROJECT IN SUMMARY
Participation of young romanians artists, collaborators/ex beneficiaries of Parada, to intensive theatrical workshops
THE PROJECT IN DETAIL
Objectives
Promoting a meeting and reciprocal exchange between Italian and Romanian children through theatrical activities.
Beneficiairies
In 2012 13 participants, of which 7 Italians and 6 Romanians (aged 18-30).
In 2013, 20 participants, of which 12 Italians and 8 Romanians (aged 18-30)
Activities
The project aims to involve Italian youths in volunteer and social integration activities through training and, at the same time, stimulate young Romanians to interact with the Italian participants on an equal standing in order to acquire esteem and trust in each other’s potential.
The Italian participants adhering to the initiative already participated in prior summer camps, always organized by Parada, and the Romanian group is formed in Bucharest in the context of the project supported by AMI in partnership with AMG.
The project consists of an intensive theatrical workshop that in 2012 took place in a historic villa in the province of Mantova (from July 29 to August 5, 2012), in 2013 in an ex- factory in Torino from July 28 to August 4, 2013). The workshop promotes the integration of the participants and is an occasion for meeting, exchange and reciprocal enrichment where the youth are able to express important feelings. Above all it emphasizes that diversity must be valued according to its originality, empathy and creative unpredictability and considered, therefore, a resource.
This meeting between young people from different countries emphasizes how artistic experience can define and consolidate the relationship between individuals who only seem different but interact in the same way.
