Beneficiairies

Activities
The project foresees the realization of a workshop in street art and cinema at the Villa Bonelli in the Magliana quarter, involved in a process of urban development which is transforming it from a degraded, abandoned place to a School for Street Art that is completely free; an occasion for exchange and personal, cultural and artistic growth for the adolescents living in the quarter, many of whom are facing familial problems and exclusion, and have dropped out of school.
In 2023, the project foresees a first co-programming and empowerment process involving the participants of the workshops in 2022 to create an artistic course in the following months. Subsequently, a cinema and directing workshop will take place (1 meeting a week, 2.5 hours long for 3 months at the Villa Bonelli) and, from April to November, 5 Masterclasses of 4 hours open to the public and held by external experts (directors, actors, playwrights). Finally, during the summer, the aim is to organize an event to present the results of the workshops as part of the Magliana Film Festival in collaboration with the Gian Maria Volontè School of Cinema – a centre of excellence in audiovisual training headquartered at the Magliana since 2011 but which today, unfortunately, is still like an island, a fortress that only recently was opened to the inhabitants of the quarter thanks to collaboration with Disambigua.
In 2022 the project has offered a street art workshops carried out under the artistic direction of street artists that grew up in the XI municipality, where he began his careers and is now becoming known in Roman and national artistic circles
